中國人取名字很有講究。名字一般都是父母給孩子取的，哪家的父母不希望自己的孩子將來有出息呢！
要説取名字，講究可多了。首先得叫起來順口，聽起來順耳。男孩子的名字得響亮些，比如”剛”啊、”強”啊甚麽的。女孩子的名字得好聽些，比如”美”啊、”麗”呀甚麽的。除了這些，名字還要有特殊的意思。
中國同姓的人太多。根據統計，光姓張的就有一億多人。有些名字你覺得好，別人也覺得好，這樣問題就來了：同名同姓的人太多。我有個朋友，他兒子叫王剛，班裏有個同學也叫王剛。老師叫一個名字，站起來兩個學生。沒辦法，老師只好把一個叫大王剛，一個叫小王剛。
